Here are a couple of young guys, I estimate 2 or 3 but not sure which. They will get a few more years to grow.

And here is another pic of an older deer, the one on the right was in the day time water hole pic with the wide guy. He must like that spot since he was standing in the same place for both pics. I'm not sure if the 3 year old (my estimate) in the back has been posted yet.

Tim

I would agree with you on the top 2 bucks and say 2.5 on both as they are long legged and thin necked/bodied.
The bottom buck in the back is thicker bodied and necked but can't see enough of him to say for sure but 3.5-4.5 or older since he looks thick bodied. The buck on the right is mature so 5.5 or older IMO. The way he is standing can also make him look potbellied and older as fat as he is.

The older deer has some dark spots on his neck and left shoulder too. These can be seen better in the day photo in my other thread. I was thinking these were something to do with his age as he is damn healthy.

Thanks again for all your comments.

They should be healthy with everything they've had to eat this Spring and Summer. Feed records at the local feed store indicated that the former owner of my place was filling the corn feeders a lot more than the protein feeder. Since the prices are nearly identical I've been doing my best to keep the free choice protein flowing since March 1. The wet weather helped tremendously as it did across a lot of the state. Starting in mid-May though the animals have really been hammering the protein. We filled it on June 30 and the level was down in the feed tubes on July 11.

I do need to come up with some covers or plugs for the feed tubes though for when we're out there trying to hunt something during the Summer months.

Thanks all for the comments.
Tim
