I got onto a lease in Callahan County. Anyone want to share their experiences in that county? It's about 400+ acres and it's south of Albany. I have never hunted that area so any advice would be helpful and appreciated.
THANKS!!

Some really good numbers and good bucks north of Albany, I've never hunted to the south, but I'd be excited if I were you.

We used to hunt south of I-20 near Baird. The number of coyotes was just insane.

I have a lease in North East part of Callahan County. See a few good bucks on occasion. The biggest one that have had pics of was a 150s 10pt the biggest one I have seen there was a good 170s at lease. From the lease I can see the hlll less than 3 miles away where a 197 non typical was taken in Shackelford County.
There are some good bucks in the area and depending one the property numbers of deer might be good

That has been several years ago, not sure just when it was taken. It was refered to as the Moran buck for a while. I never have seen it either, just heard about it.

use the search function and query for threads on callahan and shackelford counties (sounds like youre right on the border of the two). you'll get more pictures than you can sort thru...
