That there will be no duck season for me this year..... We sold our house and close Aug 2. Boat and all my hunting gear will be back in MN by Aug 4. I will remain in TX until I get hired on up north. Packed up the shop Last night: Before:   After:

Sorry to hear. Depending on when you get hired, the season up there may be about over by the time you go. Ends what, maybe Nov? Other than the hunting, I do hope the change for you is a good thing.
Do keep a shotgun back here at least. You could probably get some invites.

Usually hunt solo with the Lab; unless my wife is off work or I can convince Piklet Killa to come visit. 98% of the time by boat. Im going to try for the annual South Dakota Hunting trip on the inlaws farm.

MN is a great place to be an outdoorsman. I spent 28 years there. Duck hunt until 8:30 am, pheasant hunt at 9 am, goose hunt the afternoons. Cant beat the variety of game and weather during hunting season. Thousands of Public hunting acres all over the state.
