I know this has come up many times before but I just wanted to know which game animal has the best of the best meat. I haven't eaten too many but on the top of my list would be Nilgai and then oryx. Are there any meats that are better? Ive heard moose, caribou, and eland are really good. Also go ahead and post your lists from best to worst

Here's mine:
Nilgai
Oryx
Elk
Red deer
Axis
Fallow
Blackbuck
WT
Sika

And how does mule deer taste?

Nilgai is my favorite for sure. Elk and Axis run a close second

In my humble opinon, it's more the cook than the meat. A bad cook can make a rib eye taste like chit, but a good cook can make a raccoon taste like rib eye...
Don't knock a meat, until it has been cooked by the right person!

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

If the dog phased it it wasn't near crazy enough.

If you are talking just mammals, I would have to go with squirrel if cooked right. My next use to be Moose then Elk, but haven't had them in a long time. I have since really acquired the taste of whitetail.

If bird, it is ruffed grouse hands down, then quail, chukar, partridge, pheasant and turkey.

She went through at least 2 or 3 good fences and couple crappy laid down ones. The ranch we where own was 3k ..the ranch we ended up on was 3 sections/ 3 miles down the road ... The dogs bayed her in a shallow stock tank...

Then she got darted...and we about pulled the axle off the catch trailer getting her out.

She got dart again the next day when she jumped out of the shipping pens... Then we where screwed because we didn't have any where good to hold here until she got past the with draw period for the dart. So she got to stay in the catch trailer for two days until we found some taller pens
