Hello Texas predator hunters

I´m going to US for the very first time next Sunday the 15th of July. I will work in Houston Monday to Thursday (16th-19th), and have Friday to Sunday (20th-22th) off, and I would love to go hunting (Wild Hog, Coyote, Bobcat, Javalina or ...) I have tried several outfitters, but due to my short notice, and since I´m a single hunter, I haven`t found anything yet.

So if you have a hunting ground, and you have the time to go hunting with me, I will be very pleased. I will of course pay for this, and also I need to borrow rifle and maybe some clothing, as I will travel as light as possible.

Myself: I work in the trading business, presently for a Danish global company. I have been working in trading for 15 years, and have a background as officer, in the Danish army, where I´m in the army reserve, and veteran from Balkan.
I have been hunting for 8 years, started when I was 30 (yeah, I know that`s late, especially for you guys... your probably been hunting for 20-25 years, when you reach the age of 30 :-)

Anyway, I will be very pleased if one of you, will meet with me, and who knows, maybe it will also be a start of a new friendship.

it will be a few hours before the Texans wake up. however since you have never been hunting in Texas i recommend www.tacticalhogcontrol.com they use AR-15(think army M-4) rifles, with suppressors and night vision scopes.

@ Allan : We would love to take you hunting but we're already booked on those days....we're currently booking October.

Because of your circumstances, my recommendation would be to steer clear of a night vision hunt. You'll only have a 3% illumination on the 20th...up to 14% on the 22nd. I doubt that you'll be pleased with a night vision hunt on those days because of the lack of moonlight, coupled with the quality of night vision that you could legally use.

Hi all

Just want to tell, how this topic I posted, ended up.

I contacted Charlie Harris from http://texashuntinginfo.com, and he recommended to go hunting with Zac Bents, from Droptine Hunting, and after talking with Zac a couple of times, I decieded to go with him.
I arrived to the hunting area near Tarpley Friday the 20th in the evening, and left again Sunday the 22th at noon. In between, I had a great hunting time with Zac, and I shot 5 wild hogs, one of them a 285 pound with a nice set of teeth, 1 coyote, 1 raccoon, 1 porcupine, and topped with the main hunting object: a 28 inch aoudad.
A great experience, Zac strive to do his outmost to give you a good time, and my best recommandations to Droptine Hunting.

I will write an article about this hunt, and it will probably be publish in a Scandinavian hunting magazine. If so, you might have more Danish hunters coming over, and help you, in your effort in reducing your hogs and other wildgame.
I will for sure be back in the future :-)
