I started my oldest at 4 bird hunting as it kept him more entertained. He started sitting in the bow blind for short hunts at 5, and longer sits at 6. Hes using the gun this year at 7....never too early to get them out there, just keep it short enough for them and fun.

[img:center]http:// [/img] This past season at age 5! His first year going hunting with Dad and he loves it, always asking when we are going back to the "hunting place", I love it and I'm very proud to take him.

[img:center]http:// [/img] But even with Mom's old Iphone to play games on AND a portable DVD player to watch movies just isn't enough entertainment in the stand at his young age.

[img:center]http:// [/img] But he did enjoy watching Dad clean the doe that night, before the shot I woke him up and he put on his ear muffs and got to see the shot. He was very excited to say the least.

I was born in September and my father took me with him in November and even used me as a predator call and hunted with him every year after. The few memories I have of him are all hunting and I treasure them more than anything ( he passed when i was 6) I didnt kill my first deer till i was 7 but by that time i was more than prepared.

My son is turned 3 in December. He was going to the stand with me last year. I phone kept him entertained until the deer came out. Then he put the phone down and watched them
