Took the wife and a couple of our younger Daughters down to rockport for some r&r , we usualy fish off the piers and whatnot and catch a few fish and eat alot of seafood and spend a day over in Port Aransas at the beach.
This time we left on sunday and planed on coming back home on Tuesday, Monday was our 14 wedding aneversury so I wanted to do something differant, I secretly arranged for a private charter to do some offshore fishing (6 hr trip, 20 miles out). I didnt tell the wife or kids so when I woke them up @ 5am Tuesday morning yhey were all grogy and fussy ,thats when I let them know that I had planed for the day,,,,,,,, It was like a well oiled machine ,they were dressed and in the car ready to head to Port A within 15 min, I have never seen these 4 women move in such a fast and methodicle way in all my life, I was impressed.
They had a blast and I will def. be doing some more of this. I went with the 6 hour trip because I did not know how we would all take the seasickness thing, I can happly report no one got sick and we all had a blast.

The happy and wore out Family, we caught aprox 40 fish all day and opted to keep the bigger ones

Great photos. Looks like you have plenty of good eating snapper. It is hard to beat red snapper in the taste dept.

Looks like you had a great time.. 2x on about what a trip like that runs

for a private charter ,up to 6 people ,,,most places I checked were $600 to 800 for 6 hr trip and 800 to 1200 for 8 to 12 hr trip

mine was $800

the next one I do will be a 8 10 hr trip ,,,,, you have time to fish for more species of fish that way
