I've been using just a basic black plastic whistle that I got from Academy (I think). It works just fine but the problem is when I blow it the dang thing hurts my ears. And quite frankly, I'm tired of it. Any recommendations for one that won't? What have yall been using?

I like a orange pealess mega whistle called "The Answer". The pitch can be heard for miles and it will not hurt your ears as all the sound is projected forward through the mega. No pea to freeze up also. Very clear and sharp.

X2! When I'm competing I use a Green Monster but that's overkill for hunting.

X3 Green Monster. I use it only for training and competition.

I've always used a plastic whistle, but for Father's Day, my daughter and son-in-law gave me a beautiful brass colored Acme Thunderer on an orange lanyard. I love it. It'll get lots of tootin' this coming season, and hopefully many more.

Angie

Got the same type "mega" whistle but knock off brand, and black for hunting.
