I live in Boerne and have killed the hogs off our ranch...if you need help killing them off yours give me a whistle as it can be done. I use a combination of weapons and tactics and work solely at night. My most effective weapon is an benneli m4 loaded with 3 inch ooo buckshot and a 300 lumen flashlight. I use thermal to locate them, Indian up to within 40/50 yards and open up with the flashlight and the benneli at the same time. My record is 6 hogs with 5 shots in 3 seconds. They absolutely hate it and the survivors won't be back. With the older smarter boars I use an ar with a trijicon and a flir t-50...they tip right over when hit in the ear. And finally if overrun with smaller predators I'll break out a suppressed S&W mp 15/22 with an Atn thor2 and subsonic hollowpoints. I have taken 7 raccoons from one tree and didn't disturb the deer at one of our feeders less than 50 yds away. Oh, and the .22 works wonders on problems located in populated areas.

What make/model thermal scope do you use for locating them?

I use the Atn Thor 2 it is weapon mountable as well as handheld useable and it has two outstanding features...1st it has a o power setting which allows for a huge field of view and it self resets itself.

We have sold quite a few of those ATN Thor scopes lately. Everyone is reporting back that they really like them. We just got a few specially priced ones in if anyone is interested.

If there's a problem with them it's that the point of aim changes if you change the power setting...a hog isn't very big past 50 yds with it on o power. It's the reason I use it mainly on a suppressed .22. I have a flir t-50 that's a long range killing machine especially when setting behind the trijicon 4 power
