It's hard to catch perch when thieves are stealing them for an easy meal. These two were a little over zealous and ate too much and got stuck and drown. hehehehe

what you use for bait in the traps?

Cow cake for bait for the perch in a middle compartment. Never intended to but I guess pearch was used for the snake bait.

lol, you always use cow cake or just one time. i wouldnt even think a snake would be able to catch a perch even in a trap.

Feed stores here use to keep slab cake for the fishermen but I haven't seen it in years. I use cow cake because I always have some. Been known to use lots of things in the past. If you get desperate old hardened cow dung works great and is very economical.

Had thieves break into barn recently, but did not steal anything this trip. While checking to see if anything was missing I noticed a rat snake, maybe he frightened them away? Sheriff's dept had no interest since nothing was stolen, even though I had description and license #.

Hated snakes in the Perch trap; when I was 5, my Pappy would pull'um out by the tail and whip their heads off. Got hit in the chest by a head once didn't want any lessons on how to whip. Whoot, hard enough with a bullwhip that didn't bite!
