Doing a little Pre-Season "Scouting". Getting ready to throw some rifled slugs at those yard birds...

Yep. That's me.
That was right before I swung around and pulled out my cut down slug gun with the magazine extension and went to town.
I was suffering from "black neck" that day as you can see in the pic. It is a terrible disease.
Mallard is just jealous that he wasn't there.

My dad's bird this year
Yeah, don't listen to me. I'm just an idiot.
Lol. Duckbill that was funny! The dude up top has already taken lots of bone before this deer, both mule and whitetail.

Didn't westex miss this one due to soiling himself when "Cobra Rattler" popped up while he was making a move on a bird???

let me address the inaccuracies in the above post by mallard the picture thief......
While it is true I was on a turkey hunt on the day in question and I did encounter a rather large rattler that raised up to greet me.....the true lies below
I have never soiled myself intentionally (ala ted nugent) or unintentionally (ala the infamous shart). I did however consider calling that dude that posted on here about relocating snakes....I could have kept him busy that day.
west tex is unfamiliar with the use of the word miss.....it is used only by me when abbbreviating the state of mississippi or addressing an elderly or very young lady from the south ie..."miss daisy those turkeys on your back pasture can carry disease and must be dealt with in a swift and decisive manner." So that should put to rest the talk of west tex "missing a turkey"....
if I had more time, I would tell of some instances where my gun sights have been off about once per season thus allowing for the escape of a bird from time to time....but, you know, the time thing.....

Daaannngg it boy!!! I luvs my turkey huntin but I think I'd have to find a different place!!
It's tough enough already to walk in in the dark and cozy down in the tall grass against a tree. That might keep me in the truck till after sun up.
