Funny thing about getting older: Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to see through people's BS gets much better.

Cool find. I think I cleaned my lease out. Haven't found one in almost 5 years.

Nice finds We have looked at our place and in 18 years, I don't think we have ever found one. Seems odd that we couldn't find any

txshntr.. Have you had any luck finding flint on your place? About 20 years ago I found my first arrowhead. I have been finding them on different ranches ever since. This is what I started doing and it been working for me.. Train your eyes to look for flint not just for arrowheads. Pickup every piece of flint you see. I have found many arrowheads that where sticking in the ground that just looked like a piece of flint. Once you train your eyes for flint youll be amazed with what you find. I would suggest slowly walking your ranch roads and game/cattle trails. Try and keep sun in your face so your shadow is at your back. This will make the flint shinier and easier to see. When you find a worked piece of flint or arrowhead take your time and slowly look around the same area. Most times you find others in the same area. If you need any help finding them shoot me a PM. I will be more than happy to go with you to your ranch help you fill feeders and show you how I do it.

Can't say I ever looked for just flint. Would have probably been smarter. I just looked in the creek bottoms and old roads some...can't say I have looked but maybe 20 hours total. The guy that lives on the place has gone and looked but he hasn't found any either. Probably take you up on that offer If you enjoy it, it would be like looking on 10k acres of virgin land

Around here I look for any burned rocks. Then look for pieces of flint. All we have on the ranch here is limestone so if you see any flint pieces you know it was brought in. I find quite a few broken, but very few whole arrow heads. The place next to me has a big Indian Mound. Probably 40 or 50 ft. around of burned rocks piled up about 3' high.
