I found an old ammo can in my grandparents garage that has a little over 100 of these in it. I was looking for some info, anything at all about them, I have no need of them so asking what a fair price would be if i were to sell them. Thanks guys!

Most say Cal. 5.56mm but a few say Cal .223

What type of followers do they have? In other words, what does that thing that slides up and down look like? Are they shiney, dull or black plastic? The shiny alloy followers indicate early contract magazines, which are rarer. Also, as a general rule, the ones that are marked "Cal. 5.56 mm" were made after 1969 and the ones marked "Cal. 223" were made before 1969. $15 each is reasonable.

Condition will have something to do with value also. I'd say by the contract number on the box they were made in 1970 or at least the contract ordering them was signed in 1970.

Colt mags will bring more than $10-15, especially those 20 rounds versions. Competition shooters desire those over the 30 round mags.

The 20 rounnd mags are required for highpower shooters. At one time people were asking $20-$25 for the Colt 20 round mag.

Shoot, I wouldn't pay that much for them. You can buy new GI mags for less than $15 per with new followers. A PMag for $13ish.

And you might have to replace the followers and or springs. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but I'd be supprised if he could get more than new, 30 round magazines.

Those magazines are easily worth 20-25 dollars each as they are pre-ban. Go to AR15.com. They will gobble them up fast.
