Why doesn't anybody post shed pictures? Doesn't anybody shed hunt in Texas? Elk Sheds, Axis Sheds, Whitetail Sheds? Any antlers?! I love sharing pictures of my sheds. I guess hunting is a bigger deal there than sheds? Here are a few of mine...

Found one of these last year, and the other the year before...about 100 yards from the same bunch of oak trees.

Woah, dude...that's a lot of sheds. You ought to do something cool with them.

Here is the pile with the whole spring find.

A group of the bigger ones.

The biggest 6 of the total find.

Ranchman showed me up! How long have you been shedding? I've been doing it 2 years now and I've found over 130 total in my life plus many Dead deer. I was only able to get out and shed hunt 10-15 times this year and found 63. You're a legand when it comes to shed hunting now! That's crazy! I'm jealous, someday I hope God is good to me and I find that many. Next year I'll be able to get out, I was limited due to Swimming and minor Ankle Surgery at the time.

I have been hunting sheds for 23 yrs now. Best year was just over 200 total with 39 matched sets. Some of those were a couple of years old. I would guess I have found over 1500 sheds in that time. Best day was 39 in South Texas on a day about 2 days after the landowner and a friend of his had found 17 on the same ranch.

Cattle are just as bad as yotes, squirrels and rats.

Found some driving but lots were found walking. Some spots have them year after year. Trails on the downwind sides of feeders, foodplots, water sources, fence crossing, creek crossing, feeding areas year to year, saddles in hills, draws, backend of stock ponds, commune scrapes, etc. Once you know what to key in on it cuts your walking time down a lot. I once timed how long it took to just random walk and find sheds and it was around 3 hrs per shed. What most don't realize is acres/buck on your place is key. If you only have 1 buck/50 acres then you have to walk 50 acres to find both sheds. 1 acres is a lot to cover completely much less 20 or more for sheds.

In a 6 yr period in the early to mid 90's I found around 800 or so sheds. A man offered me $7/pound for them. I guessed I had over 700 lbs at the time but refused to sell them.
