Wanting a new all around huntig sight for my bowtech assassin to replace the truglo apex sight it came with. I would like something to give me various pins to make shooting longer ranges easier, but also want somethig still capable of acquiring pins on a dark target such as a hog at dusk. I like the idea of an iq bow sight, but I dot like that it is only either a 4 or 7 pin site. 5 would be more ideal. Also is there an after market light that will light up my pins and aperture? Any valid reasons to consider single pin sights? They seems more trouble than worth in spot and stalk hunting.

I would not consider a single pin for spoting and stalking. On-Target in Canton has a few sites you may want to look at. RBO in Kerens has some too, although he has one of everything he has in stock you can mount and try out. I am considering upgrading to the IQ bowsite myself. The only thing I don't like about it is that the pins don't seem as bright as they should be.

I'm shooting a spot hogg 3 pin sight right now. I like it, HOWEVER, I am really missing my HHA single pin sight that I sold on my last z7. I don't do any spot and stalk per say, and I can set my sight at 20 yards and be good out to about 33 yards.

I have my feeder shots set up at 18-20 yards, and I have some stands on trails and these are around 15 yards, so single pin is the way to go. I just don't want to go throw down the money on another sight right now.

Apex has two really good sights. look in to the Atomic and Nitrus. they are both 6 pins but are .029 Also ATX has a great one with rear illumination for optics. it is the Primal 5 pin @ .019.

This. Several after market sight lights fit it but they also sell a light for it. It gathers light like crazy on it's own anyhow. Small pin diameter, easy adjustment and tough.

Went to on target today and didn't buy anything but think I like the sword 5 pin sight best for the price. Didn't have too many choices to look at today though

IMO, this is one of the best hunting sights on the market. I bit the bullet and bought a set. I have a 5 pin with .019 diameter. I may never purchase another sight again. I love it. In fact, several of my buddies shot my bow and after looking at my sights and shooting they bought sets the next day. Give em a try. I promise you will love them.

I use a G5 the rock, I like it cause I can add and remove pins as I want and also change out the color of the fibers. Mine is currently set up for 4 pins. Also the ability to use it as either right or left handed is a nice point aswell.

X3 on the Armortech sights by Axcel, I switched to them from Spot Hogg, they are very bright way easier to tune and sighting in. Love it way better than my Spot Hogg which I loved as well. Those would be my top 2 suggestions based upon my experience and opinions!!

I had a Apex Axim sight on my bow for a couple of years. It served me well, and I recommend one to any body that asks. It was well made, easy to adjust, and the pins were bright.

A few months ago, I upgraded to a Spot Hogg Hogg-It sight. I bought it purely out of curiosity. Several folks had told me just how wonderful it was, but I didn't believe it until I got it installed. Reading the instruction book made aligning the sight make some sense, and it is crazy accurate. I have 3 pins that are .019 and the bottom 2 pins are .010 fiber. I would not recommend this sight to a beginner shooter, it takes a bit of doing to get it set up and sighted in. For someone that loves to shoot, and is looking to advance to the next level, it is a good way to go. Dig deep in that pocket book though, they are spendy (but well worth it)

I wouldn't trade my Hogg-it for anything else. BTW are you going to your Dad's bass torunament this weekend? If so I'm looking forward to seeing you there Sat.

I'm not going to be at the tourney this weekend. Not sure if Dad is or not. He's a maybe.

We need to get together soon, it's been too long...
