My father and I are headed up to Benjamin tomorrow to check out a ranch we have had our eye on for a while. Our current place is in Rotan (Fisher Co. so not too far away from Knox), but I think we will be fixing to sell it not before too long. I was curious if anyone had any insight as to pros or cons of hunting and owning property in Knox County?

I hunted Knox county a few years ago. We were south of Benjamin on the river. Loved the place. it was sold and we lost the lease.

It has been about 15 years but know in one year an outfitter that I hunted some with had a 187 non typical and a 170s gross score on both bucks taken by his hunters. That place was on the river west of Knox City. Hunting ducks on the place I saw a several 150+ bucks driving in and out. Some good duck and goose hunting in that area also.
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

I have hunted Knox County with friends and relatives for just over 15 years. We are based in Truscott where we stay while hunting. Good area to hunt because it is not over pressured and the game is there. Truscott is between Benjamin and Crowell on HWY six...Good luck!!

Knox is a great place to hunt. hogs are plentiful all around hwy 6. The deer really werent there in great numbers til a few years ago but now they are everywhere. I used to live there and let me tell you, its hell without rain. I still hunt just north of knox city and from what i can tell right now, its lookin pretty darn good. The county has very rich soil if your looking into farming as well. Where abouts is the place youll be looking at? If you dont mind me asking.
