 Hunting Burnet County??? Need Info

i am looking at a piece of property about 9 miles NW of Bertram, in Burnet county.
I am not familiar with the deer in this area; looking for some sort of feedback before i spend the money.

Based on limited knowledge of the area but more word of mouth, "lots of deer & turkey". Not the biggest, a larger deer in that area are 120-130 with an occassional larger one.

when is the rut up there? Is bowhunting worth a dang in that area or are rifles the better method?

I have hunted this area now for 4 years. We have seen some really nice bucks for that area.
