Bull snakes are great for keeping rats and mice in check too. Every time we caught one, we would take them and put them inside the barn so they could kill rodents.

Why shoot them? They are harmless...

Pretty sure that will be hard to find. Most the information out there points to the idea that bull snakes do not eat other snakes, mainly a diet of rodents. They are known to den with rattlesnakes and I would think that if they were a great threat to rattlesnakes, the rattler wouldn't stick around and sleep with it's enemy.
