I think you were referring to the 7mm-08 because I didn't know there were many semi-auto 7mm remington mag, but I'm just guessing. 308 winchester is cheaper ang generally more avalable, but the 7mm-08 has a better BC and higher velocity, which result in better long range numbers. I'd still pick the 308. What do you want to do with it? Hunting: both will kill animals dead.
