This field has seen a lot of activity, often occurring before dark. I set up at a pre-scouted hide 505 yards away; rifle on top of the truck cab, bipod extended on the front, sandbag under the back. I barely noticed the 2mph wind on the left side of my face, so I just set the elevation knob for nine and a half moa verticle correction.  On cue, about 20 hogs came running out of the treeline with ample daylight left. When the biggest hog presented a shot, I touched the 12oz trigger and the 140gr AMAX knocked him off his feet. He laid on his side kicking for a moment, but never got up.

Disappointer.... Only 1 kill. At that yardage we now expect the entire herd knocked out.

I hear ya. Disappointing for me too. I don't quite have the lead figured out for running hogs at 6 to 7 hundred yards yet. Plus it's hard to pick them back up at 22 power.

good shot, it is fun shooting pigs at a distance. heck it is just fun shooting pigs

But he has grown them and formed a fan club along with the Pig Man. The eyebrows and djones autographed caps are member requirements. East still is in the early Rogaine stages of his unibrow though.
