I've only ever heard positive reviews of this gun. The few times I've handled one I've been impressed with the ergonomics. Those who have had one, what was your overall impression of the gun? How does it compare, size wise, on the Glock scale? Seems like it's midways between a 19 and a 17 from what I can tell. I'm thinking about picking one up and having a hard time talking myself out of it.

I have one and also a G17 and its a little shorter that the 17 but seems a bit wider because of the safety/decocker but I love it. Took it out shooting Saturday and did just as good with it as I did my 17. For the cost it is a outstanding buy.

For the cost it is a outstanding buy. They truly are. Owned one several years ago. Never had issue with it. They are somewhat bulky in stature, but go bang everytime.

Good gun, found it to be reliable. Mine did well with any ammo I fed it right out of the box. I used to use that gun when I was trapping Hogs. Not a bad buy for the money. It's a little bulky for concealed carry though.

I owned one until it was stolen. Easy to shoot, worked fine, bulky, I liked the de-cocker and safety. Has absolutely zero "wow" factor. Well, the price is kinda nice.
If you want to keep it on a shelf or in a drawer it would be a reliable piece. If you want one to carry there are just so many more desireable options... my $.02.

I think they are a great handgun for the money. Ugly is an understatement.Felt great in my hand, nice trigger, and was extremely accurate and reliable. I wish I still had one.

I've been happy with mine. Had it about 5 years and used it when I got my CHL and used it to requalify the 2nd time.

KC, I had two P95's. One I sold to KRoyal who posted earlier and I still have one that is like new in box. I had 4 Glocks, 2 XD, CZ75, and Sig 226. The Ruger is a great gun, and not that much difference in size. I have shot Winchester, Remington, UMC, S&B, CCI Blazer, and several other brands of ammo with no FTF. For the $$ I do not think you can buy a better gun. The only reason I am selling mine is I have trouble with the SA/DA modern design. I will sell the P95 I have for $300 and I work in Sherman.

I may be interested. My only concern is grip length- I just don't know if I'll be able to hide it.

The design on the main recoil spring unless they have improved it is terrible. There is a tiny metal clip that holds the spring on that barely bumping will send the spring flying.
Reliable pistol and decently accurate for the price but the recoil spring design was bad enough to get rid of.

I had the recoil spring fly off when cleaning under it. Called Ruger and she said "what's your address. I'm sending you the entire assembly." Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing but the gun was down for only a week...

I think I'm going to head towards a LEO trade in S&W 5906... M&p are pretty cheap if you are looking to try something different.

I like guns with hammers and I still can't get used to the knuckle in the M&P trigger. When parts move that shouldn't it makes me nervous...
