Cost of anything is supply and demand...not whos in office. Other than that Thanks for answering my question. I figured cost and how much you shot played the biggest factor. I was just wondering if there was any other reasons. Thanks again

Ammo supply and demand is largely driven by who is in office.

My wife bought a buttload of those good Rubbermaid storage totes, about half again the size of a shoe box. I store it in those, they stack neatly beneath my reloading bench.

I don't have enough....

22LR - 2700
.223/5.56 - 680
7.62x39 - 1359
.45 ACP - 1000
.308/7.62x51 - 220
.270 - 66
12ga - 205

That's only 6230 rounds. Not near enough for the zombie horde. frown

I started reloading when ammo became scarce and prices went up. Plus I was going to a class and needed 7-800 rounds. Couldn't find much around town so I loaded a bunch in a few days.

Now I try to keep enough on hand for trips to the range and just load whenever I have time. Good hobby and saves a lot of money. Pistol ammo can be made with good components for half the cost of target ammo at the store.
