I had a Kahr PM9, and planned to buy a Kahr P9 about 2 weeks ago. I rented the P9, but it recoils about the same as the smaller PM9. I then rented the new S&W Shield. I was hooked. I tracked one down 2 days later and shot it last Thur. I put my Kahr PM9 up for sale and sold it yesterday.

I REALLY like the new M&P SHield a lot. Low recoil for such a small gun. It's my new concealed carry gun smile

When the sub-compact debate starts, why does the Sig P290 not come up? Any drawbacks?

I carry a Kahr PM9 in my front pocket on a daily basis. It is comfortable and easy to pull it out if needed. I have found that when I am talking to someone I instinctively keep one hand in my pocket which rests on the grip of the gun. Someone would never know its coming.

Depends on how you are dressed
I have tried about everything
I recently went back to a G19 in an IWB if I am tshirt and pants or shorts

Never really trusted the kahrs
Had a Walther PPK in 40
Horrendous trigger

Gave the M&P 9C to my wife

The new M&P shield is going to be a hard one to beat
Haven't shot one yet but handled and I liked it
I am sure I will get one

I carry the Springfield EMP.

9+1 single stack, amazing trigger, very slim, 1911.

It's the lil guy.

I would look at the FNX, its glock 19ish in size. But is slimmer, and holds 17. Awesome carry gun, easily concealable. I even carry mine when I ride my bike.

Don't understand the allure of single stack nines. Unless you have the weirdest body ever a glock 19 size gun is very easy to conceal, just get a good holster.

There is not one situation I can think of I can't easily conceal it, like I said I wear it when I ride my mountain bike.

My vote is for the ruger LC9, great gun. Reliable, small very easy to carry. It does have a safety which I do like, some do not but its a preference. Also, I do like the long trigger again for concealed carry I prefer this. For my home I have a different gun (Springfield) but for carry love the ruger. I carry mine in a pancake holster and just cover with a teeshirt most of the time.

Not sure if my suppliers have any left or not. I just sold my Glock 30 this week and switched though.
Its an awesome gun, came with 3 mags.

Your probably joking though, implying I am trying to sell something.

I agree with your G19 statement, pretty easy to conceal

I have been carrying a Wilson Combat Spec Ops 9 for the last few years, just wanted something I cared less about for carry. I run the Spec Ops in compeition

You can make all the arguments as to best, but if you leave it at home, it will do you no good. Choose the gun that you will carry every day. Sometimes your favorite holster wont be available in your favorite gun. Don't under estimate the need for a good belt and holster. I wear a Kahr K9 in a Sparks Heritage holster because thats what's comfortable.

for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

We should ride sometime bud! Didn't know you used to sell them. I just got a new Trek, its not a fancy bike but I love it. We have some pretty awesome trails out here in Rowlett (Rowlett creek preserve). My buddies got them too, so we have a pretty good group that ride alot.

I was kinda going to wonder what else he was going to pull out of his butt there, I would love to see him walk with any of that.
