Freidhelms is a must!!!!!! Bring your appetite...The "center cut ribeye" Rump steak is awesome and every schnitzle on the menu is huge and great...

You mustn't miss the Hilltop Cafe on Hiway 87 north of town. It's in an old funky gas station in the middle of nowhere. The food is first rate and the desserts are the best I've had anywhere. Reservations are recommended.

We ended up eating lunch at Hondo's. Highly recommend it. Best burger I've ever had. Beer wasn't bad either.

Alamo Springs Cafe southeast of town is in the top 10 burger joints in Texas according to Texas Monthly. And I will second that motion. Been there several times. Live music too, and a bat cave nearby.

The Navajo Grill is awesome (reservations required) and the West End Pizza Co. has really good pizzas.

Reservations are recommended. This place is awesome. It's owned by a guy named Johnny Nicholas,he is a musician extraordinare, saturday nights he plays. He used to play with asleep at the wheel. Darn good cajun style foods with good old Abita beer to wash it down.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it.

Bejas grill has the best fish tacos I've ever had and if they're on the menu I order them. You owe it to yourself to try em!!!!
