My kids were in stand with.me at few months old. Never had gun but just took them to start the fun. Bb gun to start then 17 and 22 at around 4 yo when they shot their first rabbits. Boy shot his first deer at 7 yo with 223. Daughter shot her first deer at 6 yo with 270 with my help holding Butt of gun. Just be careful I have a buddy that pushed his 8 yo to shoot a 20 ga shotgun before she was ready and now she hasn't shot for several years. I always make them tell me the firearm safety rues as well before holding any gun. Good luck!!!

My little girl started shooting when she was three with a 22. Now at 6 she hits everthing she wants.
