Txtrophy85 is correct.
May not be the biggest but there are some very nice deet less than 3 hours from the metromess, and some are on public land. Jim Daughtry (sp), Grapevine, Richland Chambers and Gus Engling all have some 170 class whitetails.
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

high fence usually produce the biggest deer? dont know why the deer are free and wild but always seem to get huge. Then people pay lots of $$$$$ to "hunt" them.

Unfortunately this is the truth.....Big operations have the money to feed protein year round, cull the undesireable deer, and let the big boys breed til its time to kill them. Great way to hunt if you have money...

Next year look at the New archery only dfw counties to continue to add to those totals.

When genetics, age and nutrition all come together at the same time and place it can happen in Texas.

So you have to resort to hand feeding? Wonder if they would eat directly out of the bed of your truck...then no one can say they are hand fed

Low as low fence goes means not horse proof/ no fence Well on second thought I understand how you missed that...since you can't step over even a one strand hot wire...

Lower than low fence to txshntr only means that it's low enough only he can crawl under it.
