Olive oil and a veriaty of spice works great, especially on red lean meat!.

ducks and geese and dove...2 litre bottle of Sunkist orange drink and one table spoon of zatarains liquid crab boil..soak overnight..

Ive heard of 7 up for taking the gamey taste out of stripers and sandbass

Heard the same but never tried it..Or just ask the person filleting them not to be lazy and cut the blood strip off..

What he said.

Olive oil is the base for any marinade we
make now days. The only hard and fast rules
I have are: fresh grd blk pepper, salt (kosher)
and at least one more liquid (soy sauce, worcesh..
oh, you know what I mean, louisiana hot sauce,
liquid smoke etc.)

But don't let us tie you down. Try a bunch of
different stuff, it's fun. Mine is never the
same twice. It's just one of the joys of living
with me.

for beef steaks we use melted stick butter, lime juice & season salt & coat & let sit for a bit then grill

my dad marinated boneless skinless ckn breasts in italitan dressing over night in the fridge & then grill the next day...YUM

-Lawry's has some great ones out now
-A-1 sauce
-mustard
-powdered ranch
-Port Wine- my favorite
-Cranberry sauce is good on duck and pork
-Beer-if I can let any out of the bottle after my first sip
-Coke
-Apple Cider

I've used all of these with good success, of course your dish detemines it mostly.
