I'd like to get some input from those of you who might not visit the Exotics section very often. (Although please refrain from posting your opinions about high fences being right or wrong, as that has nothing to do with the conversation). http://www.texashuntingforum.com/forum/u...ion#Post3191729Thank you.

Hey eland slayer, I can give you a little info this time I'll pm you with my thoughts. It's something I've spent a lot of time studying at school.
Well the first man comes along that can read Latin is welcome to rob us, far as I'm concerned. I'd like a chance t' shoot at a educated man once in my life.

That was a funny thread. Asking a question that you already knew the answer to because you have so much experience, and got mad because you asked for opinions and they differed from yours.

Wow...that thread went everywhere, but seemed like some logical advice.
I am by no means an expert, but it seems that the answer to your question is no, it won't hurt the whitetail quality. You are carrying a high number of animals on a small piece of property, therefore your supplement feeding program has to be excessive to make it work and achieve what you are right now. At 2.5 animals per acre, it seems that your supplemental feeding would cross the line and become the sustaining feeding.
Adding another 15-20 animals that are known to compete with whitetails, will require additional supplemental feeding and some modifications to how the feed is distributed due to the nature of Axis compared to Whitetail.
