Anyone ever dealt with it? Kimbers been hacking off and on all day. Sometimes to the point of throwing up.

She's up to date on her shots, so not even sure she has it, but it sure seems to match up to her symptoms.

Gonna take her to the vet tomorrow if she isn't any better in the morning.

Sounds like kennel cough.
They get it sometimes even when vaccinated. Mine get vaccinated for it every 6 months.
Keep her as calm and comfortable as possible and watch for any complications like pneumonia. Keep her away from all other dogs.
If she were mine I run her to the vet in the morning.

My Lab got it a few years ago. The vet gave him some meds and was good in a few days.

Took her to the vet yesterday and she does have it. Got her on antibiotics and cough suppressors now. She started acting better within 20 minutes of the first pills.

She slept like a rock from 7pm through the night last night. Poor thing didn't sleep much at all the night before from the dang coughing and yaking.

Yes, if that is what it is, it will pass soon. Just like a common cold with us. No biggie unless the dog is old.

Good deal that you got the meds from the vet...I have had my labs come down with this before...keep her rested and away from other dogs and with meds she should be better in a few days

Give this stuff a try.

http://www.homeopet.com/cough.html

Our dogs are in AKC shows frequently and exposed to lots of other dogs. They pick up Kennel Cough from time-to-time. We keep this stuff on hand and use immediately when they show signs of coughing. It starts to work immediately and gets them over it quick. We swear by it.

Both my dogs started this same thing about a week ago. They go it from a buddy of mines dog, but his dog cleared up on it's own in about a week so I didn't think much of it. Unfortunately my black and tan passed away about an hour ago. I'll be taking the other to the vet tomorrow.

The last two or three years there have been some serious strains of kennel cough. The grey hound race parks have lost a few dogs to it, even with vets on hand.

I get Bordetello Shots for the Mastiff's in the house and all of
the pups...plus any dog I have around strange dogs...I don't bring strange dogs home without having them all of their vacc.,
and mine are separated on chains in the yard and do not interact
unless it's hunting season...Been raising them for over 55yrs and
I've never had kennel cough...Years ago in a different location, we had some distemper...and I ended up w/some dead hounds, lots
of bleach and moving a kennel...so I now do not pen or kennel them together..Don
