I've got a Browning pump shotgun that I rarely use because the LOP is a little too long for me and I find myself reaching for the foreend. Looked at replacing the stock with a youth model but they run $225. So wondering if anyone knows a gunsmith in DFW area that can shorten the stock and fit a buttpad. I'd do it myself, but I doubt I'll be able to fit the buttpad and have it look decent.

Where in the metromess do you live? Is Forney too far away for you to take the shotgun? If not, call Lee Koning at 972-564-1520.

Any place that installs recoil pads can also shorten the stock for you.
I know Alpine, in Ft Worth can have it done for you but don't know any particular places in Dallas.

Panter City does good work but be prepared for a 3-4 month wait as they are realy back logged. I took a gun in and they said they had over 200 guns waiting for repairs.

Are you sure we are talking about the same Panther City? Right now I don't think they are back-logged at all.

These guys treated me more than fair. Had mixed reviews from some. I would be certain to get a FIRM finish date. They helped me with my Browning BLR. http://www.mcclellandgun.com/
