I have seen a lot of questions lately in regards to FOC, total arrow weight, KE, and As always fixed Vs mechanical. With that being said I wanted to get peoples opinions of the following video. Curious to see what everybody thinks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrpfLol20_Y

I would rather see shots on live animals and not on a controlled test.

Interesting video, but I think that you would get better result using german kenetic silver flames.

Interesting video, but I think that you would get better result using german kenetic silver flames. Silver Flames are built by the same company. Alaska Bowhunting supply builds the Ashby, Nanook, Maasai, Samurai, Silver Flame, Silver Flame XL, and the Silver Flame XXL. And yes Silver Flame broad heads are the best double bevel broad head on the market. However, From what I have found, the advantages gained by having a single bevel broad head Vs a double bevel broad head (when large bones are hit) are amazing.

They might have started making them again in Germany. However, I assure you that Alaska bow hunting is still manufacturing and selling Silver flame.

Google, Dr. Ed Ashby, you'll learn more than you ever wanted to know about FOC, single bevel vs. double bevel, and penetration test.

Google, Dr. Ed Ashby, you'll learn more than you ever wanted to know about FOC, single bevel vs. double bevel, and penetration test. When I first heard about Dr Ashby years ago, I read every report I could find and have sense kept up with his findings. I was skeptical at first, cause the information went against a lot of what I thought I knew and what the archery industry/every pro shop told me. But after doing some tests on some live animals I switched my setup and never looked back. I have shot cinder blocks with my setup and had little to no issues. Here is Dr. Ashby's most recent interview with Todd Smith. In case anybody is interested. http://www.ezflipmags.com/Magazines/View/ArrowTrade_Magazine/25/79/
