O.k. guy's, I haven't talked about this with many people but, I had an experiance that I am still having trouble putting together. I was bow hunting a few years back and a bobcat came out right under my stand. I came to full draw(I have always wanted a mounted bobcat on my wall),and let her fly at about 12 yards and pinned it to the ground. It was hit at the back of the ribs on one side and it came out the opposite shoulder, so it was a good shot. I was using muzzy 4 blades that were very sharp. It thrashed around and got the arrow out of the ground and staggered into the brush about 20 yards from me.It made some gurgling sounds and then was quit.O.k., here is where it got real wierd. About 15 min later, a second smaller bobcat shot up a tree where the first cat went and died. Then a couple minutes later, I hear a hog grunting coming thru the brush where my cat went down. Then I hear some crunching sonds and more grunting and thrashing around.after a while, he walks of never showing himself and then a little while later, the other cat decends and leaves. I then got off my stand a trcked my cat to where he died. The only thing I found was a few pieces of my carbon arrow and blood.Nothing else and I really looked hard.Thats where the "WTH" came in...Crazy I know but it's the truth.Any thoughts?????

I guess my only what the heck question is why in the heck did you sit in that tree and let him do it?

This happened on a lease near Buna,Tx.I was hoping the hog would come out and give me a shot, and this is why I didn't get off the stand and go after it.Plus, it was a real thick area that he was in. Not a place to face down a grown hog with a bow...I figured the hog ate it myself, but I have had people tell me that a hog would have smelled him and ran, not eaten it.Either way, I'm still in the market for my first mounted kitty.

That hog ate your cat. The smaller cat that climbed the tree was most likely her cub. I had a simular experience but my bow limb hit the rail of my climbing stand when I shot, causing me to miss my cat. She had a half grown cub with her and it ran into a large under cut bank on the creek and hid in there.

Yep, them pigs is bad Hombres...

I saw a boar that was about 250 pounds trail a cow that was about to have a calf, then kill and eat the calf almost before it hit the ground.
The poor old cow was standing there is a daze looking for her baby.
Of course, I was on the tractor WITHOUT a gun of any kind and not close enough to try to run the pig off!

Lesson learned: Don't go into the pasture without a weapon.

Hunt the hog now, kill the hog, and have him mounted with a bobcat tail sticking out of his mouth, be a cool mount with an interesting story...
