Sweet mounts. That's about what my house looks like. Still waiting on some new ones from this past year!

Thanks Judd,
Congrats on getting your mounts back soon. Make Sure you post some pics. KT is collecting a few decoys now, we will get him some nice birds next year. I wish I had room for my other birds at home, I have my Brandt and Nice Ross and a Standing Sandhill Crane.

A standing Sandhill would be cool. I will post once I get them.

Nice touch to the Mexican Squealer. Great mounts and memories of a lifetime I'm sure. Why the spoonie and the woodie? Just curious. Is there a story to go with it. I can't believe GR was not all over that one.

Great Mounts..
Sure glad you posted them here, there used to be an other forum that got all sore in the keister if people posted waterfowl instead of the taxidermy section..

Well I shot the Spoonie and the Woody in the same Season.
At the end of the season I took all my birds to my Old Taxidermist. He has passed away since then, but he was one of th best.
His name was Carlos out of Arlington. Died in his late 20's of Oral Cancer ( for all of you Snuff Dippers )
Anyway he went on and on how I had shot such a special bird because of its plumage, not a dark spot anywhere.
Anyway he did the two together for some competition, but he never got to go. That Cancer ate him up fast.
I believe that is one of his last birds

I am very sorry hear that, that really stinks. That was not the type story I was expecting. It's a piece of art to always remember him by. I really enjoyed the pictures, truly an awesome variety of birds.
