I saw a whole flock get smashed on some wild plums that had fallen on the ground and fermented. They sorta reminded me of San Diego when the fleet was in.... as they staggered off in the valley!

I've heard of folks soaking popped popcorn in whiskey and using it to "catch" pigeons for dog training. I guess it is easier to catch them if they're passed out . . .

I thought you were referring to drunk turkeys in the smoker, which I love to do after brining them. I mentioned the everclear idea to my wife and she thought that would be a waste of the good stuff. I got excited and think it's worth trying at least once. I wonder if it would have the same effect on deer.

Not trying to step anybodys toes. I dont understand why you would do that. If I cant go out set up call one in and shoot the turkey. Then I dont want to hunt one. To me call in a turkey is the best part of the hunt.

If you just want to catch them and relocate them - and if that worked - then I can see no harm trying it. If it don't work, you can always use the main ingredient to wash away your troubles....

We tried it once and all the fat ugly hens got knocked up, I guess they looked better to the toms. Now all we have are fat ugly turkeys on our place.
