I have a dpms ar with a railed gas block.. I got the magpul flip up sights but it seems my gas block is lower than my rail where my rear sight goes.. What do I do?

You can't mount the Magpul MBUS to a railed gas block. They will melt.

From Magpul's site:
Quote:
NOTE: Cannot be mounted to a railed gas block due to excess heat issues.
Front MBUS must be mounted to a railed fore end on the same plane as the receiver rail. Because of this the sight is also not compatible with MOE Hand Guards.

I believe somebody (YHM?) makes a sight for the front gas block. But yeah, Magpul wont work as it'll be too short and will melt.

I did the same thing, bought both front and rear magpul sights, found out the front would melt, went a got a yhm front flip up problem solved
