Slime is guaranteed to stop match head size leaks for up to 2 years. The slime in my Gator is now 4 years old, and I'm getting leaks from toothpick size holes. You can see the little Slime trails running down the tires. Looks as if I need to replace the old Slime with new Slime. There's no way I'm breaking down the tires myself. I'm wondering if I can prevent taking the wheels to Discount Tires by draining the Slime myself this summer. They have lots of plugs. I'm thinking of positioning a plug to the bottom of the tire, and removing it while the tire is under pretty high pressure. Do you guys think that will work?

Just curious, why do you have to remove the old slime before adding new? I just add new to the existing.

I've already topped them off several times. They're about full and the Slime is no longer working.

my guess would be pump them up to max air pressure and let it sit and seep out. or poke a hole in the bottom of the tire and patch it after its clean.

I think I'll start with one tire this summer and try it. I have plenty of plugged holes. I'm thinking of just pulling a plug. I have to do something, the Slime in there now is done, and the tire is almost full up.

What was the consensus here? I am in the same spot, I run Essex Kevlar belted tires on my ranger and have since 03 but havent slimed them since 04. No flats today although I have plugged a few over the years but I feel that I need to slime. Ok to dump another 24 ounces in per tire on top of old? what do you all do????

Let the air out of the tires then unscrew the valve core with it at the top, then turn till valve stem is at the bottom and let it drain

May give that a try dlallder, only issue is getting these tires to actually squat down when flat. I ran one empty for a long time without knowing it was flat. they are " run flat" tires.

I am thinking just get a new set of tires also, something that has 8 or 10 ply's.

It still on my to do list. I had to put air in a couple of the tires everytime I hunted during quail season. Sometimes after 1 day of hunting. I haven't had to add any air since 2/25/2012. I use it around my house a good bit.
