 Angelina national forest turkey hunting?

Anyone know if there are enough turkeys in the ANF to try and hunt them?
I have never been turkey hunting before but was wanting to find a cheap place to go and the ANF is not to far away.

They are there ... you just have to get out and find them. Numbers have been declining in Angelina though....they only took 8 birds from the area last spring.

thank you for the reply, I am wanting to get out there and learn the woods a little before bow season starts and stalking gobblers seems like a good way to start.
