A friend of mine recently passed away and his wife had me come by and get a box of various ammo. Some of it was readily rocognizable to me and some not so much. If any of you know the following, please fill me in.....
Remington 5MM Magnum ( this is a rimfire I have never seen before)
CCI 22 WMR ( these are almost as long as the 5MM )
Remington 25 35 Win.

I have a 5mm Rem mag, actually two. I have a 591 and 592. It is an awesome round. If its old you have the old Remington stuff. The new Aguila stuff is 2300 fps out of the muzzle, comes in 35 gr and 30 gr. Remington only made these rifles from 70-74, so they are not common. You can still get Thompson barrels for them though.
22WMR is just regular 22 mag.
Don't know about, but looks to still be available through Winchester.
You don't buy chance have the rifle to go with that 5mm Mag ammo do you???

The 5MM are Remington Core-Lokt Hollow Points, 38 grains, 2100 fps/muzzle, 1606 fps/ 100 yards. And no I don't have a rifle to shoot these. Wanna sell one? lol

5mm Remington Magnum, Remington for a long time was the only maker if it and discontinued it years ago. I have one and love it. Very fun, and quite effective rimfire. The original Remington loads have I think a 38gr bullet
22 WMR Winchester Magnum Rimfire just another name for the common 22 Magnum
25-35 Winchester. popular round back in the late 1890s and early 1900s. Chambered first in the 1894 Winchester if I remember correctly. The naming convention is from a carry over of the black powder days. It is a 25 caliber that was loaded with 35 grains of smokeless powder usuallu behind a 117 or 120gr round nosed bullet.
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

Not a chance on mine. I love them and they are super fun to shoot. I'm fixing to order a custom bull barrel for my Encore too. If you have an interest in a Remington 5mm Mag rifle, look at Gunbroker. There are usually a handfull on there. Expect to pay between $400 and $500 depending on condition. If you only get one, get the tube fed model. The other is a magazine model and the mag only holds 4 rounds. The mag is also made out of plastic, so if it breaks and you are fortunate enough to even find another mag, it will cost you about $100 to get it. The mag model I bought came with two mags.
