I have been hunting with the 458 socom for about 3 years now and I think it is probably one of the best pig killing rds. made. I plan on getting one of Willson Combats 458's this summer so I decided to chop my RRA upper and put it on my dedicated pistol lower. I cut it down to 12.5" and put a rifle length Houge free float on it. I didnt look clean so I lathed out a end cap out of aluminum to close it up. The gun shoots great and the recoil is not as bad at all. I have a Vortex Strick Fire red dot sight on it and it will shoot 4" groups at 100 yards. Thats not bad for a 0 power red dot scope with a 4moa dot.

That looks awsome, but still it has to recoil pretty good.

Recoil is not that bad. I shot it from the cheek. You do have to hang on to it. Its not loud either, but it does make a big flash.
