Anybody have one? Wondering what the recoil is like on such a light .40 cal pistol.

Every Kahr i have ever shot has been a POS. No gun w/ a 550 and up price tag should have fef or fte ....ever... period. Just my .02

i have 2 pm9's and recoil is manageable (i know it is not the 40 cal). never had any issues w/ mine. several hundred rounds through them. 1 point though, my friend has one that had some fte problems and that is because of the cheap ammo. these guns have a stronger spring rate to them that allows for +p ammo and to help control some of the recoil. once he moved up to better ammo, he never experienced fte again.

have you tried getting ahold of customer service about your problems w/ your pistol?

I own a Kahr CW40 among many others. Mine has always fed and shot very well.The thing to remember with any gun is to don't buy junk ammo and expect it to feed and perform like Cor-Bon, and then write a bad review of the gun that you tried to shoot it with. As far as the 550+ price tag, I don't know where he is buying his guns but for that price I have a few for sell. They are 100% made in the U.S.A. If you will do search for Kahr reviews you will see everyone you has one give it 4+ stars.

FTF = Failure To Feed
FTE = Failure To Extract
The Kahr's i have shot was a PM9 belonging to a cowoker. One i rented at the Bullet Trap in Plano and my brothers PM40. Those retail at 600. All three do not preform as flawless enough in my opinion to be a personal defence weapon. The pm40 will FTF almost once every other mag on Wal-Mart flat tip ammo ( i think it is winchester ). Im not saying there complete junk but i just expect reliability out of a firearm expecially in that price range. My G19 has never failed an i have put mant 1000's of rounds thru it w/o one recalled failure. and that includes crap cheap ammo. That is what i expect out of a pistol, smooth flawless operation despite what ammo you stick in it.
