I need a recommendation for which dealer has the best powerstroke mechanics in the plano/allen/frisco/mckinney area. I have some recall work and some other minor things that needs to be fixed on my truck.

Or any fellow local hunter that specializes in diesel work.

Good Luck! I would stay away from Bankston. I had them do warranty work on my 6.0 to fix a oil leak and I'm pretty sure they were racing the mechanics in the next bay to get the engine back in. They didn't tighten up my starter, broke my dipstick, broke my license plate holder, and left all the transmission line braces across the bottom of the radiator loose. I have the autoenginuity program and just work on my trucks myself. I have been lucky and only had to replace my HPOP.
Took a truck to Prestige with 7K miles on it one time and just happened to show up late one evening to pick up the truck when I told them I could not make it. I guess I surprised them. They had parked it in the fence between to box trucks with the back window down for the night. You might get on thedieselstop or powerstroke forums and ask.

Dont go to North Central Ford either...

We have one of our fleet trucks at a place called FSS Diesel in Irving right now. Ill let you know how it goes. So far they have the dealership cost beat by 700 bucks. Seems like a decent place, Free towing on repairs over $1000 and the same warranty as the dealership, All Motorcraft parts as well.

Update for you, Just got a call from FSS.

Ford house quoted me for a both new fuel pumps and an upper radiator hose, Right at 3800, FSS quoted 3100 over the phone. I had them pick it up and I got a call from them a few minutes ago. After all testing both pumps are fine, We have 18k PSI, Dropping the tank, New filters, Reflash, and blowing out lines and we are done for 800 bucks. He said he didnt want to throw the dealership under the bus and they may have had a new guy or just misdiagnosed it but wrong is wrong when it adds up to a couple grand.

Truck is done after 1 day in the shop and we saved 3K in repair bills, They have our fleet business from now on, And they work on gas motors as well.

amazing how they "diagnosed" it wrong...Had Lewisville tell me the high pressure oil pump was bad on my 6.0 and needed new seals dye test revealed it.quotes me 2100......Drove it to family friend in Austin...had a small leak up high that cost me 100 to family friend on a 38 dollar part...He works on diesels and said it would have cost me 250 at a dealership...I guess you are just at their mercy....

You might check with K W C. He works at a Ford dealership.
