A little easier to find Remington HD #6 in 12ga 3.5inch or 3inch for 20ga.
Not as impressive as BarneyWhos TSS loads but effective for factory fodder

If going with lead loads #5s are the way to go if your gun patterns them well. Enough energy per pellet to break a turkeys head or neck at 50 yards. The heavier then lead #6 is good at 50 yards or a bit further. The TSS is in a world of its own in that reapect

I have half a box of Kent Fasteel #2 left over from duck/goose season. Anyone ever used these? I figure if they can fold up a goose at 30 yards a turkey at 15-25 should be no problem.

You want to shoot the turkeys head. For that You want small pellets and a bunch of them. Turkeys are not hard to kill if you get several hits in the head.

What Rob said....and what Rob uses.....Remington 3" HV 1 3/4 oz. #5's. Aim at the wattles and let'r fly!
and remember boys and girls if you're body shooting a turkey..........

Gotcha. Smaller size shot= more shot= more head surface area. I know to shoot it in the head. Shooting one in the body is a mess I have no desire to clean up....chase it down for another shot, cleaning the bird, worrying how much shot I will be chewing later, etc. My main question was on the size of the shot. I guess I'll quit being lazy and stop by Academy on my way out of town. I'll probably find something else I can't live without there.

Remington copper plated duplex 4x6 in 3" Add me to the list also. i have had to use high brass 7's before and they worked well, even 8's would do it with full choke since everybody gets 'em in to 10 yards, right!!!

Going on my first turkey hunt in a week and a half. I picked up a couple boxes of Remington Premier High Velocity 3" #4 Turkey Loads. Anybody shoot these? Will they get the job done?

Sure they will, as always, your choke, and set up and distance to target will be the factors. i would try to get out and take a few shots at a piece of cardboard so you know what it will pattern at various ranges. Anywhere under 30 yards though i think you'll be Golden.
