I'm looking into getting some for my evening pig hunts. However I can't decide on a brand to get.

I'm shooting whitetail carbon arrows. Anyone shooting the same arrows have any good suggestions?

All advice would be great.

just bought one from academy for $8.99.

tested it in the backyard. It works great. its also very bright.

came on after release just like its supposed to. however turning it off seemed a little difficult at first. I kind of boogered up the hole with my knife.

all in all great buy. Thanks for the info fellow hunters.

They are great. Once you get the turning it off down it isnt a problem at all. When I am huntin, after I recover my arrow, I will use my broadhead to turn it off.

The only problem I have with them is that you can kill the nock pretty fast if you practice alot. So what ever way you go I would suggest having a second set of arrows to practice with that has the weighted practice nocks in them.

Nocturnal's are the only ones that I have used that turn on every time, when I get them out of the package I oil them to ensure they turn on every time and makes it easy to turn off

I can't bring myself to buy any. I have a $8 arrow with a $7 broadhead and to add another a $8 on it just to have a pig run off with it and hopefully get it back? Can't do it.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

The point of the lighted nock is so you can find it at night.

I believe it is worth it.

You could have a $15 shot at a pig and the chance on finding your arrow at night are slim to none.

Or....

You can spend the $8 for the lighted nock and have a $23 shot and the chance on finding your arrow increases greatly.

As bright as the nock is, I don't see how you wouldn't be able to find it.

I don't disagree with your logic but can't get past that flaw in my thinking either. confused2

I gave up on lighted nocks after finding that less than half of the luminoks I purchased did not light up when shot at game. Luminoks are far too expensive in my opinion to be that unreliable. I will have to try Knockturnals after reading these reviews. I like the idea of lighted knocks but havent had much luck with them.

I love the nockturnal's but, I'm not liking the green one's. I've used the red & green and will not go with green unless I have to. May try the blue or others next when I run out.
