Hey guys I am new to turkey hunting and we just scored our lease today. It looks like there are lots of turkey tracks but I haven't seen any yet.

I am wondering what kind of feed we should use for turkey. Should we use regular corn?

I have always used corn and milo. But you may want to check this:

TURKEY
• See County Listings for specific season dates and special requirements.
• It is against the law to hunt roosting turkeys by any means at any time.
• Special R equirements for P roof of Sex: see Proof of Sex, pg. 61.
• Special Regulations for E astern Spring Season in certain E ast T exas counties: Shotgun, archery and
crossbows only, no hunting over bait; all turkeys must be checked at a check station within 24 hours
after they are killed; and harvested turkeys may be field dressed, but must otherwise remain
intact. See Turkey Check Stations at: http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/huntwild/hunt/season/stations/

Forum says "Veteran Tracker". I could not track a garbage truck into a fireworks factory.

If in area baiting is legal henscratch works fro turkey and is usually cheaper than corn. Good old fashioned boot leather wear and calling works also but not going to knock feeders effectiveness

Drop a round bale of wheat or oat hay. Turkeys will tear it apart slowly to get to the seeds. Livestock will help break it up as well.
