I have had such a good response to my light that I have entered my invention in the WalMart Get On The Shelf contest. The item with the most votes will get an automatic shelf spot in all WalMart stores, assistance with production and R&D, marketing assistance and a cash prize. You can vote once per day by 3 different methods(3 votes per day, 1 by each method), text, Facebook and on the Get On The Shelf website.

My invention is the Blazer portable light. It is a 12v dual light system with 2 independently aimable lights. Burn time for both lights is atleast 11 hours under normal conditions. I have recently included a marine-grade waterproof 12v accessory plug and will include a usb adapter for charging and running everything from your laptop to a cell phone to an air compressor.
As a fellow forum member, Texan and hunter, I would very much appreciate your help by voting for the light.

Here is a picture of my light:

And here is the link to the WalMart contest site: http://www.getontheshelf.com/product/1697/Blazer-portable-light

Thank you very much everyone!

That's pretty cool. I could use that night fishing down here in Galveston.

If you win, what do think think it would be selling for?

C'mon guys...get your vote in, you don't want some damned yankee to win do ya?

T4PL: I appreciate your interest very much. When the time comes I will definitely post the information, but for now I will respect forum etiquette and the people who pay for advertising space on here by not taking advantage of the opportunity. At some point in the near future, I will be one of those forum advertisers myself.
If I was just buying in bulk and reselling some crappy Chinese made lighting set-up, and just did it as a side thing like a lot of guys, I wouldn't have a problem with it, but this is a legitimately marketable product that is going to be in full blown production very soon. I have spent over two years and tens of thousands of dollars on research, engineers, attorneys, patents, and the highest quality materials that will make up the light. This is a brand new and revolutionary design in the world of portable lighting, so I feel it is a different scenerio. I pray you understand.

Voted, and I really like that idea. One question.... I could see that being in my truck tool box with a bunch of other stuff and getting shuffled around a lot. Do those lights stow away anywhere to avoid damage?

Thanks for the continuing votes everyone. I very much appreciate it!

Scott, the lights do not retract, but they will fold over the top of the box so you can bungy-cord the light fixtures together and tie them to the handle.
