you have one. What are your thoughts? You held it and put green down on it.

I think they are expensive, heavy, and unneeded. . . but my opinion isn't important. I've never shot one.

Shoot the darn thing.

Needed???? Don't really think its needed. Lighter than a fully loaded AR. Shoots better, but I have no expertise in guns either. Just wondering what the guys that are able to compare to other guns think.

To much for me at that price I rather have the SCAR heavy or the OBR regardless of the weight.

This. I would take a proven SCAR over it anyday. There were/are alot of bugs they are working out on the ACR. The ACR will be a good rifle, but too many recalls etc going on right now.

The SCAR is perfected. The SCAR H is the lightest 308 I have shot. I am planning to get the SCAR H myself in the next month or so.

I wouldnt call it new but...

Heres my take. If i wanted to shoot 300blkout, this platform would be my choice. Buy a barrel and an extra ACR piston assembly, bam ready to shoot 300blkout. Plus it would be nice to go from SBR to carbine length wiht one rifle.

While i havent kept up with any problems, if your life isnt on the line, i think it would be a cool rifle to have.

Also i've heard/read that you can use regular AR barrels, you just have to mod them for use with the ACR. There are a couple companies doing it..

If you paid attention to previous post? I'm not a gun expert, everthing I read started that they were the latest and greatest thing out. Just wanted to know what gun guys thought about them. I'm now where near a gun smith.
If you have nothing good to add to my post or answers to question why post?

Half the guns I buy are because they "look cool." The ACR passes the "look cool" test as far as I'm concerned.

If your life does not depend on that particular gun then the fact that it may have a few hickups is not important. Your not going to combat or on a forced ruck march so weight is no big deal. I doubt it is too heavy to carry from your car to the range or wherever it is you shoot.

If you like it and like shooting it then someone else's opinion doesn't really matter.

I say you go full out with it....tax stamp.

It cant be too heavy with a 11 or 10.5" barrel....plus they just look badarse sbr'd.

I love the ergonomics of them, better than the SCAR but Ive shot the SCAR and they are amazing. Although I have to say I read an article in a Gun's N Ammo mag where the CEO of Magpul said Bush's version of it was a bastardized version of the original, they made it cost to much and weighted more than Magpul original. On top of that they still don't have barrel change kits, personally Id rather have a Remington on an ACR over Bush anyday
