Fellow bowhunter's,
What is the recommendation for a ladies bow? She is started but progressing very quickly. It will need to be left hand. I have looked at the Jewel, the Heartbreaker, and a few others. That Jewel is high as giraffe tail. What is the scoop? Looking to pull the pin very soon. I have her on a older model presently. I do not mind pay more if it is worth it. I do beleve she likes it and is hooked as most of us. She is about a 24" draw or so and can handle 40#'s pretty good. We are bringing her up to about 50#'s then plan to back off some for her to hunt. She will mainly be hunting out of a grund blind or elevated stand. I am not going to count out stalking in the future. I would hate to get something she will "grow" out of.

The BowTech Soldier or Diamond Razors Edge are both worth checking out. plenty of speed and a huge range of adjust-ability in both draw length and draw weight. Plus they are a great price

I just recently added my wife to the bow addiction, we tried several but in the end got the mission riot. The craze was so short that it was making her shoot off, she is about 5'7". I dont think there will be any way she will "grow" out of this bow for the simple fact the draw weight is so broad, if anything she might want something else later down the road. For the price i paid for the completed bow hopefully its a long road. Good luck finding something that fits.

I was just wondering how the bow was making her shoot off. I am 6' 1'' and shot the craze perfectly. Even tho I shoot a helim but just to try it out before I bought it. And it felt good. I curious on how it wasn't right for her.

I agree completely. She could have asked for the most expensive bow on the shelf with the newest design but at the end of the day its what you can handle and what shoots best for you.

The Razor Edge from Diamond is a great choice.
Draw from 19-29 and Weight 30-60. there is no growing out of it for her and the cost ready to shoo out of the box is $340.00 give or take.
The Quest Torch only goes to 45# $350.-$400 depending on set up.
Bear Apprentice 2 RTH Compound Bow Package $299.99 20-60#

Anyone heard anything about the Bear Outbreak? Looks extremely adjustable. Could be a darn nice beginners bow.

Mission Craze is a much better choice over the Menace.

I would look at either the mathews Jewel or the Bowtech Heartbreaker, as both are built for female archers, and the geometry of the bows are different to help with the difference is a persons build based on gender. The jewel is essentially a womens version of a Z7 which is why its priced the way it is.

The PSE Chaos is an awesome ladies bow. Even comes in Pink if she doesn't like the camo. Huge adjustment in draw length and they are excelent and fast shooters.
The other bows listed are good choices, but you should let her shoot a chaos somewhere as well if you can. Also, you can pick up a fully loaded Chaos for $300.

Womens bows are overrated and overpriced. My wife hunts and shoots 3D with a Mathews DXT. We drop the draw weight down to about 54 lbs when she shoots tournaments and crank it up to about 58 when she hunts. She is trying to buy a bow just for tournaments and I am trying to talk her into either a Drenalin, Ovation, or Triumph. Dont get me wrong the Jewel and BowTech Heartbreaker are good bows but you are paying extra because they are pretty.

Folks, sorry for the late update, we ended up with the Mathews Jewel. Pink riser of course. I will have to say she really likes it and has been shooting it for about two months. Really nice setup but you surely pay the price. Shes happy and that make me happy.

That is a very NICE bow. I would have some guys come in with their girlfriends and buy it for them. I told them they might as well marry them because it was a down payment on a ring smile
