I tell you what, there is no feeling like letting an arrow fly and finding it's mark! I have done alot of things in my life for a rush but nothing comes close to this!!!! I wish I could personally thank everyone on this forum for all there input and advise in getting me and my family successful in the woods! This is truly amazing!

I sure didn't. Here we go. I have been hunting this hog for about 3 weeks now and every time I got on stand to get him something would go wrong. Last night everything was perfect. So here he comes sneekin up about 7:30ish to feed on the fresh corn. He started eating away and was facing right at my tree stand the whole time. (bout 10 min) My heart is ABSOUTLY POUNDING and all of a sudden he turns broadside, I draw on him nice and slow not to spook him but sure enough he bolts off, but stops about 50 yds from the bait. So I hold the bow drawn till he moves behind cover not to send him away for the night w/ the sight or sound of me. Well about 5-10 min later he comes kreeping back in for more corn and he is really really spooky now. So I position myself to make a very easy quiet draw and pull back my brand spankin new bow. He spooks again but only runs about 10 feet, stops, turns to see were the noise was from, the xlr100 lit him up and the arrow buried deep in his vitals dropping him were he stood. He didn't take one single step. I was so freakin excited I could barely climb down the ladder to see him. This was my first kill and to be w/ a bow makes it that much better. To bad I just bought a new AR cause that things gonna rust in the closet. lol

The best part about it was I set my trail cam on video before I got on stand and it caught all the action. Absoutly amazing!

As for the hogs weight, don't know but would guess 200+ lbs

Here is the video. I don't know if you will be able to see it but if you look to the left of the video you will see him hit the dirt and start flopping around. You can also see the lumenok fly by.

I have killed a big boat load of things in my life, but the first time I stalked and shot a silly olf pig witha bow my knees were shaking like crazy.
Most fun I had ever had with my clothes on..
Congrats, you did a great job on a great hog
