SEND AN EMAIL:

Comments have opened up for suppressor hunting in Texas:

http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/newsmedia/re...12&nrsearch

... Emails should be Sent to: robert.macdonald@tpwd.state.tx

Subject: Regarding the proposed amendment allowing the use of silencers

Dear Mr. MacDonald,

As a Texas hunter I support the use of silencers to hunt game animals.

The use of a suppressor protects my ears and the ears of my children and other young hunters.

The use of a suppressor does not encourage or protect poachers from identification and prosecution.

The law requires mufflers on automobiles and motorcycles in the wild to protect the hearing and health of the operators and reduce the impact of noise on the environment. The use of silencers or mufflers on firearms should also be allowed and encouraged to protect the health of operators and reduce the impact of loud noise on the environment.

Sincerely,

My Name
My Address.us
My County
My Phone Number

Comments may also be submitted through the department's Internet web site and at upcoming public meetings to be scheduled around the state.
