Just wondering if any one has used this stuff? I am thinking about putting it around our camp area. Have seen a couple of rattlers already and dont want my 2 yr old or 6 yr old to run into one around camp.. Any other suggestions would be helpful as well..

Thanks
Chris

If its the powder you buy at walmart I have used it. I saw a few snakes at my old house in College Station and after putting it out I didnt see any more. Cant guarantee it was the powder that kept them away but its worth a try. I think the stuff is pretty cheap too. Has to be reapplied after any decent rain.

Find someone that has game chickens or fighting roosters. See if you can get a few cull hens and a rooster off of them. I dont know how far you live from your deer camp but they will kill alot of snakes.

It works but it is not an end all cure all.

Guinea Fowl are another bird that will kill snakes. Added bonuses: good to eat and will make a lot of noise if anything unusual comes around

after my girlfriend found a copperhead in the garage i put some sulfur down to give her peace of mind, i found the little feller a week later hanging out behind a box lol. the best cures i know are either a couple guineas or a jack russel terrier.
